Meditation is accepted, medically endorsed and practiced worldwide.

Meditation is an age old art and has been practiced for centuries. Many studies have shown that meditation benefits us immensely, it allows the body to relax and grow healthier.

"and in his law doth he meditate day and night"  Psalms 1:2

 It has been seen to:

 •   Lower blood pressure

•   Reduce anxiety and stress

•  Improve muscle response

  •   Reduce acute and chronic pain

 •   Relax diaphragm and internal organs

•   Develop concentration and memory skills

 •   Increase breathing efficiency and lung capacity

•   Increase recognition of compulsive behavior pattern

•   Enhance inner awareness

•   Provide spiritual growth

Meditation is a very natural state of awareness that can be developed in just a few minutes each day and practiced by anyone to achieve a healthier, more aware and relaxed union of the body, mind, and spirit.

Meditation can be comfortably included into your everyday life, it is like learning any new skill, the more that you practice, the easier it becomes.

Meditation is the practice of “allowing” what is and "being" in the moment, then simply incorporating it into a state of relaxation.

Mystics have long believed that we can see colours well outside our normal range of vision by opening our "third eye" during meditation.

There are many various meditation techniques practiced in many different cultures around the world. I have put together a few simple grounded meditations that give you clear directions, powerful healing and you can still gain your own personal experiences.

You could tape record the following directions to music for an added personal touch.

The following is a simple technique to practice for beginners:

Preparation

  • Find a quiet, peaceful, secure, comfortable place for yourself, where you will not be disturbed by telephones or interruptions.
  • Create a relaxing atmosphere. You may wish to light a candle, light incense, or play some soothing music in the background.
  •  Begin to relax by taking in some deep breaths and perhaps do some light stretching, you might like to lie down or sit on the floor or in a chair if you like.

PINK HEART STAR MEDITATION

This meditation is done seated.

The colour pink is excellent for reducing fear, aggression, anger, irritation and misunderstanding. Pink stones protect us from all forms of negativity.

*Search through your collection of crystals for five pink stones that appeal to you.

*Sit on the ground and place four of the stones around you to the front, back, left and right.

*Hold the fifth stone in your hands.

*Focus all of your attention on your heart chakra. Close your eyes and imagine a spark of bright pink light coming to life in the center of your chest.

*See that pink spark begin to shine like a sparkling star, increasing in strengh and radiance, filling your body with a strong pink glow.

*As the glow spreads outward, visualize it touching the stone that you are holding.

*The glow continues to spread until it reaches the stones around you.

*Imagine that each stone also begins to radiate beautiful pink love light from a star at its center.

*Maintaining the pink heart star immediately around you, see the pink healing love light continue to radiate out into your surroundings.

*Imagine the light touching the hearts of people you know and sparking stars into them, which in turn radiate out to touch the hearts of people they know.

*Continue this meditation as long as you wish, focusing particularly on directing the pink healing love light toward anyone with whom you are having difficulties.

*To end the meditation simply allow the light and your attention to return to the stones around you, then to the one in your hand, and finally to your heart.

*Allow the colour gradually to fade away, then open your eyes.
